知识点2:情态动词shall与should用法归纳
1. 表示应该
should作为情态动词最基本的意思是“应该”——既可指有责任或义务 “应该”做某事，也可指建议或劝告某人“应该”做某事，还可指推测某事或某情况“应该”会发生，等等。如：
Rich people should help poor people. 富人应该帮助穷人。
You should see a doctor. 你应当去看医生。
You should avoid such mistakes. 你应当避免这样的错误。
They should be there by now, I think. 我想现在他们都已经到了。
should表示推断时，语气比较肯定，通常是指非常可能的事，相比较而言，我们前面讲过的may, might, could等情态动词在表示推测时，则语气较不肯定，尤其是might和could表示推测的语气更不确定，所以在具体的语境中要注意选用恰当的词语，如下面这个句子，由于句子语境的因素，其中的should不宜换成might或could：

2. 表示语气委婉
