1. 用作名词时，注意它与动词的常见搭配：表示讲笑话，通常用动词tell或make；表示开某人的玩笑或戏弄某人，通常用动词play；表示经得起开干玩笑，通常用动词take；表示理解其中的可笑之处，用动词see。如：
He told [made] some very funny jokes. 他讲了一些很滑稽的笑话。
He played a joke on me by pretending he’d lost the tickets. 他假装把票丢了，跟我开了个玩笑。
Can’t you take a joke? 跟你开个玩笑你都受不了吗?
I’m sorry but I can’t see the joke. 很抱歉，我看不出来有什么可笑的。
以下各句所用动词不同，介词也不同：
不要跟老人开玩笑。
正：Don’t make a joke about an old man.
正：Don’t play a joke on an old man.
