4. 在很多情况下汉语中“在……下”并不能用英语的 under 来套译。如：
(1) 表示在某人的帮助下，一般用介词 with。如：
He got back his wallet with the help of the police. 在警察的帮助下，他找回了自己的钱包。
[2]help,with,相关知识点help sb. （to）do sth./with sth. 帮助某人（做）某事 其中的to可以省略。例如：I often help my mother with housework.我常常帮助妈妈做家务。 Would you please help me （to）look up these words? 请你帮助我查查这些词好吗？

The cat likes to sit in the sun. 猫喜欢坐在阳光下（即晒太阳）。
若要强调“太阳直射”或“炎热”，有时也用 under。如：
under the burning sun of midsummer 在盛夏的灼热阳光下
成语 under the sun, 不是指在太阳下，而是指“天下”“世上”等。如：
It’s the best wine under the sun. 这是世上最好的酒。
(3) 表示借光做某事，一般用介词by。如：
He worked by the light of a candle. 他在烛光下工作。

3. 若表示一物被另一物所覆盖，则通常用 under。如：
She crept in beside him under the bedclothes. 她钻进被窝躺在他身旁。
4. 表示职位、级别等关系时，用 under 表直接关系，用 below 表非直接关系。比较：
Mr A is under Mr B. A 先生是 B 先生的部下。
Mr A is below Mr B. A 先生比 B 先生职位低。
