一、deserve后接的不定式要用主动表被动
deserve的意思与be worth有些相似，均表示“值得”，它的后面本来是要用不定式的。如：
She deserved to win because she was the best. 她有资格获胜，因为她是最优秀的。
但是，如果当它后面所接动词具有被动意义时，也可用动名词，且这个动名词要用主动形式表示被动意义；此时若将动名词改成不定式，则要用被动形式。如：
我认为他的文章不值一读。
I don’t think his article deserves reading.
=I don’t think his article deserves to be read.
The bear starved to death because of the food shortage.
那只熊因为缺乏食物快被饿死了。
